Here we go again.

I got home from my life-changing trip to Bali, only to hear from my husband that my sister in law has just been diagnosed with leukemia. I don't know if it's the same type as Jesse had, but dear GOD, my brother already lost his first wife.

  2. Ladies, I can hardly deal with this, you can understand? My brother is just one of those nice guys that can't seem to get a break. He and his wife were about to divorce, and then started going to therapy and were just getting the relationship into shape. My niece and nephews are just numb.

If she has what Jesse had, that makes the third unrelated person with this extremely rare form of leukemia in the region my family lives in. Only 800 people get this in a given year-- in the world.

  3. Well, I'm stunned. And I hope this is some kind of freaky over-diagnosis that ends up being treatable for her.

I did get an email today from LLS about a matching gift up to $100,000 for donations before 12/31 ... so I'm sending that in. In honor of Jesse.

    I'm so, so sorry, Iso.
